Bryan Gipps
Bryan has been our Musical Director since 2003. Previously he was a School Director of Music for 18 years before becoming the freelance musician he is today.
He is also conductor of the Old Barn Orchestra (the orchestra for Medway & Maidstone) and Director of Music at St Mary's Church, Ashford. He is the Artistic Director of the Egerton Music Festival and sings in the Rochester Cathedral Choir.
As well as supporting local hosteleries and following architectural and bibliographic interests Bryan's spare time is dedicated to music.
Bryan will be retiring from the choir in November 2025 and we are excited and delighted that his baton will pass to
Anthony Osborne
Anthony is a highly accomplished, versatile and passionate singer and choral conductor. He has been singing in choirs since he was 9 years old. He was a choral scholar at Wells Cathedral, won a scholarship to the RNCM to study singing and conducting and spent 7 years training in opera. Having left Glyndebourne, Anthony now runs his own specialist piano business and has also resumed his other passions in music, including conducting. In 2024 he was appointed Music Director of Crowborough Choral Society.
Anthony has been a church organist for the last 27 years and is currently Director of Music at Christ the King Eastbourne.
